This function involves many auditory mechanisms that determine the function and skills of several important tasks within our everyday environment. (Central) Auditory Processing Disorder is difficulty in the perceptual processing of auditory information in the central nervous system.
Aural Habilitation:
This area involves teaching auditory skills to those with a hearing loss using hearing aids or other assistive devices such as a cochlear implant to supplement their hearing.
