Patricia Tortorice, MS CCC-SLP

Patricia Tortorice is a Speech-Language Pathologist who is a Beaumont native. After high school, she attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology with a minor in Psychology in 2006. Patricia went on to attend graduate school in the same field, graduating in 2009 with her Master's in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston.

Following graduation, Patricia acquired her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) while working as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Klein ISD for two years; providing skilled intervention to children with a variety of speech and language disorders. Her students ranged from ages 3 to 15 and included the following: Preschoolers Acquiring Language Skills (PALS), Early Childhood and Developmental Programs, along with a social skills group. In 2011, Patricia and her family returned to the Beaumont area.

In the Spring of 2012, she began working at Speech and Language Associates, Inc, which was owned and operated by Dr. Elizabeth Phelan. She continued to practice at this location for three years and fell in love with the private practice setting. She learned to value the relationships she formed with her clients and their families because it was a very different experience from the education setting. Sadly, in Summer 2015, Dr. Phelan decided to retire and close her Speech Pathology practice of 30+ years.

Soon thereafter, Patricia joined the team at Beyond Words. Patricia enjoys her time with her husband and three children, traveling to new places, and spending time with friends.
